This past weekend we hosted our fourth anniversary rally! The theme was Steampunk and we had a blast wearing Victorian-like outfits and listening to Steampunk music while the events took place. Setup for the rally began on Wednesday and everyone was gearing up and ready to go! Our president, Jairus Silvercloud, was ready to get things started!
While people set up their tents in Steampunk theme for the contest, Jairus rode us (Scarlette and Trin) around on his Steampunk vehicle (for lack of a better term). It was a pretty great view from the sky looking at all the well-designed tents!
Events started on Friday afternoon with a Meet & Greet time featuring our very own DJ Cara. Everyone was super excited to be together and get the rally kicked off. After that we had the Soap Hockey event. Whilst challenging technically, It was a blast to watch and listen to the chatter as teams of three sat on their butts in the ice rink and pushed a bar of soap into the other team's net. Then we had a Wet T-Shirt contest, Biker Barrel Roll, and Live Singer event, featuring Evely Lane's smooth voice. The first day of the Rally ended with the Men of Legends Bike Wash, where four of our sexiest men washed women's bikes with a bit of a show and dance. I maybe forgot to take pictures during the event... Might have been enjoying it a little too much! *winks*
Day TWO of the rally started with Dunk an Officer. This was an event that I co-hosted with Jarrett, our Senior Road Captain. It was so much fun watching people throw baseballs at the target and dunking officers in their MC's. There was a lot of back and forth going on as people treated fire with fire, switching who was the thrower and who was the victim. Our own President was even dunked by his daughter, getting him back for all the times he'd "made her clean her room"!
After the Dunk an Officer event we had DJ Alee followed by the Live Auction, led by Jairus and his assistant Kylie! This auction was super fun, featuring prizes such as custom bikes, custom shirt designs, photo sessions, DJ sessions, and lots more!
Following the Auction we had our first Hot Pursuit event. This event was the Smokey & the Bandit theme and was soooo much fun. With music playing from the movie, racers went from the bottom of the track where they gathered moonshine and then brought it back up to the Rally without being pulled over by the cops (who would run into their bikes and then their bike was destroyed and they were out of the game). We had a couple of women make it all the way to the top without getting arrested, and one made it higher than anyone else did without getting caught, though she didn't make it to the top.
The evening continued with Live Singer David Csiszer, a phenomenal guitarist and vocalist, then ended with Mud Wrestling, where folks went up against each other until the wee hours of the next morning. Much fun was had, and some violation maybe was had when our very own Uncle John made an appearance and swept the floor with everyone!
Day Three began with Hot Pursuit Jail Break version. For this version, racers go all over the track trying not to get arrested (run into/pulled over) by the cops that are chasing them. They then get taken to jail where others can break them out by running into the wall. This game was NUTS! So many people, so many bikes, but SOOOO much fun to listen to all the chatter and banter going back and forth! Even to the point of some criminals needing to hitch-hike their way to the jail!
After this, we went to the other jail and had our Jail & Bail. Several criminals were put behind bars for others to bail out. A couple of offenders were left in there with inordinately high bails, and Uncle John was released BEFORE they were... but everyone was released and freed just in time to enjoy our closing ceremonies, put on by the Legends Performing Arts team and the Phoenix Dance Team! Between announcing winners for our various contests including the Photo/Bike contests, we were treated with EPIC shows put on by amazing choreographers, all along with the Steampunk Theme!
We want to thank everyone who made this rally epic. There were a LOT of moving parts to making this rally happen, and to list all of them would take a longer blog entry, but we thank you all for attending, for participating, and for being such a blast to hang out with for the weekend as we celebrated four years of being the amazing family we know as Legends MC!
Uncle John entertains us before the show begins...
